The Cessna Caravan has just departed having dropped us on the west shores of Deer Lake Ontario. We are beginning our four week Canoe Trip down the Poplar River.
Our first morning with beautiful blue skies on Deer Lake.
Arriving at Sparrow Hawk Lake having just crossed into Manitoba.
Severe rain caused a canoeing delay with drying days to follow.
The Red Willow portage take its toll on the most experienced.
The shores of Lewis Lake is where we camped a few days awaiting a food drop and allowing some much needed repairs to our Ally Canoe.
The final night on the Poplar River before reaching Harrop Lake.
Nearing the end of the trip the storm is developing for an all night soft rain.
The last evening on Harrop Lake produced this amazing sunset, realizing our trip is coming to an end. In the morning we await our Cessna Caravan to take us back to civilization.
